*Breeder With Purpose? We are a breeder breeding twards the AKC Standard. Striving to produce a sound dog Meaning: Health/Temperment/Structure. We feel one needs to question any breeder that is breeding without purpose in other words breeding to just breed. All of our breedings are planned, we are breeding to produce our next hot show prospect or to fill a clients need for a show prospect. Often only a few in each litter are true show potential pups so there are often many av. to perspective pet homes on a spay neuter contract to loving pet homes. We are willing to help those out who are looking to get started showing both Shiba Inu's and Miniature Bull Terriers. We do not require past exspirience to own and show one of our dogs. Showing should be fun~
* Are you searching for a pup who is raised around people and not just in a Kennel? At Spotlight our Miniature Bull Terriers and Shiba Inu's are raised in a puppy room in our home. It is a actual room inside our home. They also are in the rest of the house when supervised. We have wood floors in our downstairs of our home so we can let them run and accidents are easily cleaned up:), You will not find our home dirty. Our dogs get house trained on our wood floors before they can go on the carpet. We also will let puppies go out to the kennel area as they mature, as well as outside with weather permiting to socialize and get them used to different envirnments. We are commited to making a very well rounded and well ajusted puppy for you. I do not work outside the home in order to have the time to meet all of my dogs social and emotional needs. As well as keeping up with all the daily chores in raising dogs the proper way. I know what it is like to get a dog from a breeder who does not take the time and effort to raise a litter properly.

Here at Spotlight we are always trying to better our breeding program through testing and screening, All of our dogs carry heavy CH linage going back to the very best not just any Champion linage, Each time we breed we are trying to compliment each dog with each breeding. Cutting those from our program if problems arise either it be structure or health related, Trying to breed for a better more sound dog, for you and your family, and for our breeding program. Still keeping the standard in tight check, not sacraficing health to get that perfect look. We have taken our time to find lines with as few genetic problems possible and still have the great look of each breed we all ador and admire. We are involved in showing our dogs in both AKC and International Dog shows , not for status, but to show we are breeding to the AKC standard as well as a activity for us to do with our dogs that we have put so much effort into each and every day. We have fun showing our dogs, and they do too or we wouldn't do it :)
*Do you want a Dog that has been raised in a very clean area? We take cleanliness very seriously here. I stay at home and am able to keep up with all the chores that go along with raising and breeding dogs. A unsanitary breeding/housing area is totally out of the question ! Our kennel area is cement which we feel is the best for sanatizing. All of them are bedded down with HAY for comfort so our dogs do not stand on cement while in the kennel area. All of our dogs get to come into our home on a rotation, and get out in our huge turn out area 3/4 acre out in front of our log home which is also cleaned frequently.NO HARMFUL NEWSPAPER OR SHAVINGS USED BY SPOTLIGHT~( Most shavings contain fermaldahide and pesticides) Never Buy a puppy that has been raised on either check out our link up top about Newspaper!! At Spotlight We try very hard to provide up dated pictures of your new puppy to you, so you can see how your pup grows, and answer e-mail from our clients as promptly as we can. Often within 24hrs. We value you and our puppies new family weather it be a show home or a pet home.. We understand the excitment of getting a new family member, pictures are worth a thousand words, and are great for a puppy scrap book or a dogs show portfolio.
*Do you want a pup that has been feed excellent dog food and recieved the proper care to insure the best start a breeder could provide for a puppy. As far as deworming, shots and supplements. Not skimping on anything! Well you will find that here at Spotlight. We take our feeding/Vaccination/Worming program very seriously here and are up on the cutting edge for holistic nutrition for our dogs. We don't cut any corners here. In fact the research continues, and if we ever feel there is a better food for our dogs than what we are currently feeding then we will change . Cost is no issue when it comes to nutrition. Your dog is what it is fed, and how it is cared for, simple as that. Many issues can be prevented through a excellent feeding program, that is free of by-products and other harmful chemicals most dog foodscontain on the market today.
These are a few reasons why we feel we are different than many other breeders, and why we feel we stand out. Remember often you get what you pay for, backyard breeders may have puppies cheaper, but often they do not know what they are producing or know enough to even be breeeding (ask them why they are breeding?), health and temperment issues may be a concern down the road for your dog if you are to go with a breeder who is not involved in showing and just breeding to breed. Conformation/structure play a big part in how a dog ages. This is something to consider with backyard breeders. Many of our clients return to us for a second puppy, or refer people to us., If you don't feel comfortable with your breeder to begin with, chances are you never will. We feel that not only do you need to like your puppy, but your breeder too. For a breeder client relationship is one for life~ KNOW THIS~Your breeder lays the foundation for what your puppy/dog will become, puppies kennel raised don't have enough social skills , This for dogs happens at a very young age and not changed easily, this WILL cause issues later on. Your breeder lays the foundation you then continue and build on. Puppies have to have plenty of social interation with humans to build confidence early on~
