Don't settle for just any dog due to shipping cost, get what you want, even if you have to pay shipping it is well worth it in the long run.Settling for a backyard bred dog just because it is close to you and does not need to be shipped is one you may pay far more for in the long run, and you will seriously regret.
We here at Spotlight Kennels ship by plane and by ground year round within the USA, we also can ship into the Calgary Alberta Airport in Canada. We prefer to use Alaska and Continnetal, but can use other carriers . Often we have to travel to Portland Oregon to fly out puppies all inclusive in shipping cost. We have never lost a puppy or had any issued in flying our puppies ever.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFO: Your puppy will fly in CARGO most times it is climate controlled for your puppies confort, often you will pick your puppy up at the Cargo office of the Carrier but sometimes at the Ticket Counter. You will recieve a conformation number and all flight info from us just before your puppy flys. This information you will need to take with your in order to pick your puppy up. As well as a Valid Drivers Licence or some form of ID. The process is very simple and far less complicated than one would think. We ask that you bring water and food to offer your pup as soon as he/she is in your hands. Often food and water can be offered if the pup is transfering flights by the flight attendants. But we still suggest you be prepared. Also bring a chage of bedding for the crate for often it is soiled by the time your pup reaches you. We like to use Fleece Blankets for shipping our puppies. Newspaper is very harmful to puppies due to the ink, and often they will eat it durning flight. This can lead to a blockage. Also bring a towl in case you need to wipe puppy off if he or she gets soiled. Please check the top of your crate your puppy arrives in,. Often we attach your copy of your contract/AKC application and vaccination and worming record for you. So be sure to look through all paperwork attached to the top of your crate.
If you prefer to fly in to Eugene Oregon Airport to meet your pup, we offer a discount to put twards your flight for we would enjoy meeting you and will meet you at the airport at any hour to get your pup to you. This of course is prefered so we get a chance to meet you in person. All you need to do is send us money for a Vet Cert. and purchase a carry on bag to put your pup in during flight. Airlines often charge $100-$165 to carry on a puppy with you. You need to contact your Carrier to inform them you will be flying with a pup. The nice thing about this method is your pup doesn't have to fly alone you will be right there with your pup. Of course we prefer this method of transport. But we realize not everyone can fly in to get their puppy. This is why we offer other methods.
Total shippping costs are $350 for a puppy which includes: airfare, crate, vet certificate,Acclamation report, food and water dish and fuel for us to transport to the airport. Shipping must be paid two weeks prior to puppies departure so that your puppy can get all documents required for shippment. |
