*Pricing of Shiba Inu's has to do with overall quality. This breed is also raised by many backyard breeders. Whom are not screening their breeding dogs,Also whom are not feeding the quality food and do not have tested Champion lines behind them. Most backyard bred Shiba Inu's you will find do not look like the breed standard when fully mature, may make a cute puppy but puppies grow up, also most backyard bred shiba Inu's tend to have more behavior issues as well as health issues. Due to the lack of matching up dogs and consistancy of breeding for temperment and health. A dog that is built to last has great structure, just like humans structure has to do with how well a dog ages. So Champion bloodlines is a must when looking for a quality Shiba, and a show breeder is also a must. A Breeder who knows the breed standard and who is breeding for it. Knowing how to pair dogs that suit each other is not easy. So there is a huge range of pricing that goes on in the breed from backyard to serious breeders. In the long run a backyard bred Shiba Inu often ends up costing more and causing more heart ache, due to none of the dogs being screend behind them for hip/eye and Pattella or other genetic problems the Shiba Inu can be prone too, this breed is ranked very high for overall health if in the right breeders hands and the gene pool has been kept in line . So the old saying you get what you pay for rings true and most deals are not deal if you read the fine print and look at the risk you are taking. A breeder just breeding to breed you have to question. All breeders should have purpose. This is a question you as a perspective buyer should be asking your perspective breeder : Why are you breeding? If they can't answer that question quick, with We are breeding to better the breed by: show/agility twards the AKC standard simply walk away, if not you will in the long run, be sorry you didn't spend a little more to get the quality from a breeder who has thought towards the breed standard set by AKC. You definately get what you pay for in this breed. DO NO?T BUY: APRI or CKC ( Continetal Kennel Club) REGISTERED Shiba Inu or other puppy mill registered Shiba's. There is no proof of valid purebred linage required by these so called puppy mill/backyard breeder dog registries so no proof they are purebred, AKC and UKC are the ONLY reputable American registries who verify purebred linage~ Anyone can start a registry. Buyer Beware~ Also beware of any breeder raising more than two breeds, many show breeders have two breeds to have more dogs to show for only a few can be shown at one time, but anything beyond two is highly questionable. I stay home full time and two breeds is all I would ever consider at any given time~
AKC Champion Linage: There are breeders who tell you champion lines mean nothing, these breeders are backyard breeders trying to justify what they are doing. Ask them why they breed? Chances are it is not for conformation and to benifit the breed and make progress, it is for profit. Showing in AKC Shows helps a breeder know that his/her dogs are meeting the breed standard set by AKC. A dog with proper structure is important for the longevity of the dog, proper shoulders, turn of hock all plays a huge roll on how well your dog will age. *ONLINE SCAMMERS: We have been recently informed there are scammers using our web site and other breeders web sites and pictures as a scam to get money even going as far as listing in the add a valid breeders web site with the same wording the breeder has used in other adds. IN the add though the email will not be the breeders but the scammers. Make sure any breeder you go with has a WEB SITE and email them from the web site not from the classified add. Also make sure you can easily find the breeder online as far as show results and kennel info, and google both show results with the breeders full name and google the kennel name. If a breeders show results can be found online this is a good way to make sure you are working with a valid dog breeder. Any breeder who is showing will have published show results you can find. Scammers make it hard for both the Breeder and the Client.~ *Pricing on our Shiba Inu Puppies is quite a range from $1000-$1500 pet . Show $1800-$2500. Puppies are evaluated and pricing is reflective as to quality/structure/gendar and breed type. Higher end of the price scale is of course show puppies with no Co Ownership going to show homes. We will sell show prospects without co-ownership to carefully screened people. Also if you are not wanting to breed and just are wanting to show, pricing will be discounted for we love to see our dogs in the show ring. We can ship to most states in the USA. Price is Including a year health guarantee on life threatening congenital defects. We have NEVER had a puppy returned. So we have a excellent track record. E-mail us for details. Sometimes we have people who place deposits and then back out on a puppy those puppies will only be sold for the balance due. * We do accept deposits in advance:$200, this is a great way to get in line for the dog you are looking for. We also accept payments as well, but the pup must be paid in full before they leave here. We e-mail current pictures to all those on our deposit list and place our Shiba Inu puppies in the order of deposits recieved. * All of our puppies are placed in screened, loving homes, so please request a contract and tell us a little about yourself, once you are certain we are the breeder you would like to work with. NOTE: We will not sell to Puppy Mills, Backyard Breeders, Buyers, Pet Stores or any un ethical breeder or person we do not feel would be a quality home for one of our dogs. All of our dogs go out on a Spay/Neuter contract unless you are a qualified breeder by our standards. I feel we are easy to deal with, but we do take great care in placing our dogs. We do not hand out breeding rights lightly on any of our dogs. *Sometimes we have adults available for rehome. Most are crate trained, but all of my dogs are rotated in my home. So they are not full time indoor dogs, and may need some training and work.. This you have to take into consideration they have been a part of a breeding program/show program . I list availiable adults on my availiable adults page when they come av. Rehome fees depend on age of the dog. * please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about aquiring one of our fabulous Shiba Inu's.
