Here at Spotlight Kennels we also have horses.. Our family enjoys time together on horseback. We team rope and do gaming club as a family. We also enjoy trail ridding,coastal ridding and horse camping. We have quarter horses and one TB. Total of 4 horses currently. We built and owned a 36 stall barn/arena and horse facility. I used to train a bit, but the dogs started to take up more and more of my time, so we solid the place and now reside in a more private setting in a Log Home on 10 acres. My dream~ Where I can now focus souly on my dogs. I do still enjoy a good ride, as well as my Siberians love to follow on a trail ride or beach ride. My Siberians are very well trained off leash, this is not something just anyone should attempt with the breed without the proper training. But horses are more of a luxury now and then for me now for the dogs take up so much of my time. I am more into watching my kids ride and compete now in 4h and in open shows rather than training horses myself anymore. We hope to have a living quarters horse trailer by next year so we can do some more horse camping with the dogs and horses as well as have a nice set up for dog showing and more of the ability to dog show out of state with the luxuries with us. |
