| HEALTH SCREENING & TESTING: We screen all of our dogs twice yearly and our puppies once before they leave for new homes for: Abnormalties that can be indicative of Urinary Disease as well as diseases of other organs including: Liver Function, Kidney Function, Digestion, PH acid Base Status and carbohydrate metabolis. As well as heart screening once yearly on all our dogs . Testing for PLL marker gene to help reduce the incidence of PLL we are proud to say we have many that are Clears without even one copy of the gene. We also personally check hearing of each pup we produce not just the whites for peace of mind . The Miniature Bull Terrier is prone to several serious health issues and we feel it is our job as a breeder to screen for potential problems ~ Even with health screening even the best planned matings can and do produce problems, So this is no guarantee that just because your breeder is testing their dogs that your pup/dog will never have a problem, but it does give peace of mind to know that your breeder cares about what he/she is producing and they are doing their best to try to produce a sound dog for you and your family. |

We breed to produce our next show prospect or to produce show prospects for our clients, Often we may hold back a pup as a show prospect for ourselves, or to place as a show prospect with a client, these are our first placings and we go down the list from there depending on the perticular litter. Usually no more than 2 pups per litter is held back as a prospect if one is produced in the litter, we do also place show quality pups in pet homes if a suitable show home is not available for the show prospect Miniature Bull Terrier puppy. Another trick many Backyard breeders/puppy mills is have individual web sites for each breed they raise, be sure you google the kennel name and the breeder name and look for those show results:) |
