* This breed is a very rare breed of dog, it's fanciers have put a lot of money into breeding stock,testing and C-Sections. Several backyard breeders have obtained this breed, and are selling them cheaper, but not in the long run. They are plauged with health issues and often do not look as the breed should. So as the old saying goes you get what you pay for, and often end up paying more for the backyard bred Mini Bull in the long run~ We here at Spotlight put a lot of money weekly into our dogs. We feed the best dog food that is out there, probiotics and deworm very frequently with excellent wormer as well as all of our dogs are on Frontline Plus. We also have a very strict vaccination program as well as health screening exspense. When this breed is done right your breeder has quite a bit into raising a litter. I guarantee that one worth purchasing from any breeder falls in our pricing scale most will be at the higher end of our scale. We know what is out there and what they are selling for, most are $2000 and up.We also stand behind our puppies for a full year for any immediate life threatening congenital defect. We have never had one puppy returned for any health issues what so ever, and that is a excellent track record for the breed. Also we keep track of our breeding program asking about the progress of many of our puppies we have placed. Not just sending them down the road. We want to know how they turn out.
BEWARE: of any other Registry other than AKC or UKC these are the only USA reputable registries. Anyone can start a Registry. AKC and UKC require proof of linage. Many puppy mill registry take the applicants word. If a breeder's dogs are not UKC or AKC walk away~ Also beware of breeders who are not showing in Either AKC or UKC sanctioned shows. A breder must exhibit to know how a breeding program is working. Breeding is not just putting two dogs together. A good breeder will not cut down other breeders, there are politics involved in the dog world and jelousy as in anything.A good breeder will just be happy to tell you about what they are doing to better the breed, not slamming others~ You will find many in the Miniature Bull Terrier happy to cut down a fellow breeder , often due to jelousy... Many do not practice what is preached~ So do keep this in mind while looking~ Also beware of breeders raising more than two breeds of dogs, most are BYB's or Puppy Mills. Many show breeders have two breeds for variety and to have more dogs to show since only a few per breed can be shown at once but anything beyond that is highly questionable. I stay home full time and this is the only reason I can focus on the two breeds. I am not saying there are not a few ethical breeders out there with more than two breeds but the numbers are few.
* ONLINE SCAMMERS: We Have Been Informed: Also there are scammers online using our web site and other breeders web sites and pictures as a scam even going as far as to listing a valid breeders web site in the add the email though will not be the breeders but the scammers!. Be sure any breeder you go with has a WEB SITE email them from the web site not the classified add, and make sure you can easily find them online as far as show results from dog shows and google the kennel name as well.. A good one is to check show results, if your breeder can be found online in show results this can verify they truely are a valid breeder. Any breeder showing will have published show results easily googled by just putting in the breeders full name and breed of dog /dog show results/dog show. These scammers make it hard for both the ethical breeder and the client.
*Pricing: Our puppies most of the time are $2000-$3000 unless one is being sold at a discounted price, or we feel they do not meet the breed standard well or priced lower due to age, other factors, or if someone put down a deposit and then backs out these pups will be sold for the balance due only, so they are discounted, Reason is that we are breeding for our show program and for other show clients our focus is to place puppies that do not fit our current needs or that do not make our show selection in loving homes. We do have MANY costs involved in Showing and raisings this very difficult breed of dog we just have to make sure our costs are met. So if a deposit has already been placed this will be taken off purchase price if someone backs out of buying that puppy. Sometimes due to age etc. pups may be priced for less. Pricing is depending apon the breeding, color, structure and other factors involved. Our Top of the line puppies with AKC papers are $2000-$3000 unless a deposit is in place and the buyer retracts the sale.. You can contact us about each individual puppy by the puppy number and we can inform you of the price of that perticular puppy you are interested in. We also do take deposits on puppies prior on future puppies, and payments, but all puppies must be paid in full before they leave here. Once your deposit is in place you will be offered the first av. puppy to you you have the right to passup to three litters with av. pups to you. A deposit is a sure way to make sure you get in line to recieve a puppy from us. We do not have a e-mail list of those wanting notification of up coming litters. We feel those who are serious will place a deposit with us, this is the best thing you can do with this breed. We get far to many e-mails and lookers and those who are serious will contact us for current information.We work hard for our clients and once your deposit is in place with us you will recieve pictures of available puppies frequently. Some pups may be lower in price due to overall quality we assess them and price them accordingly, not every mini bull terrier produced is a high end mini bull and we price them according to quality.
*NOTE: All of our dogs are placed in loving, carefully screened homes. So please do request a contract once you have decided we are the breeder you would like to work with, as well as tell us a little about yourself. All of our puppies go out on a Spay/Neuter contract unless you are a breeder that we feel is quality to our standards we do have a show contract for those ethical breeders looking for a show prospect, show dogs we require co ownership until the dog is a finished champion.NOTE: We will not sell to Backyard Breeders,Puppy Mills or Brokers, Pet Shops or any un ethical breeders by our standards. I feel we are very easy to work with, but we do take care in where we place our dogs..
* Now and then we do have adult dogs for rehome on our available Adults page.Rehome Fees or no rehome fee on these dogs will vary with age and other factors so please contact us if you are interested in a perticular dog. Nice way to get a mini bull at a reduced price, but Know that most are crate trained, but have not lived full time in a home. So there will be training involved. These dogs have been in a show/breeding program. All of our dogs come into our home, but they are rotated and are not full time house dogs. So getting a adult will still requiring training and work for the new perspective home.
*Deposit is $500 on any given puppy this will be applied to full purchase price. We have had issues with scams so please contact us about payment if you are serious.
